GREAT RESPONSE TO OUR ESSAY CONTEST

The 112th Precinct Community Council and the Forest Hills Community and Civic Association co-sponsored an essay contest on Tolerance. Chief Pizzuti Commanding Officer of the Police Academy developed the essay question. Maspeth Bank is providing the prizes. We have a distinguished panel to judge the contest: Mr. Ernest Couco from Maspeth Bank, Lewis Harris from the Forest Hills Community House, Chief Diana Pizzuti, Commanding Officer of the Police Academy, and Executive Assistant DA Jessie Sligh.

We are one New York. People from all over the world live side by side in New York City as neighbors. We eat different foods, worship in many ways, and speak numerous languages. The title of the essay is " We can work it out".

We received 50 essays that are now being judged by our distinguished panel of judges. We thank everyone for their participation.
