DEAR NEIGHBOR:
Welcome to our new website for the 112th precinct community council. Our community council works in partnership with the 112th precinct to better our community. It is our hope that you will find our website useful. We will list our events and our meeting notices. We will also try to include items of interest to all of us.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Police Department for their help in obtaining this web site. We appreciate their continual assistance. The shared vision of our precinct community council is a partnership between the 112th police precinct, our local businesses and our residents to better our community of Forest Hills and Rego Park. It is amazing how much we can accomplish when we pull together. We should thank our precinct and the patrol borough publicly for the wonderful job they have performed in our neighborhood. The Patrol Borough and our precinct are responsive to the needs of the community on a continual basis. We thank Chief Tuller and the officers of Patrol Borough Queens North for their efforts on behalf of our community. Chief Tuller we acknowledge your dedication to excellence. We appreciate that you care about us. The 112th precinct under Captain Philbin provides outstanding police services to our residents.
Our community-based partnership helps educate our residents or a local business to be aware of potential problems and to notify law enforcement. This interacting of police personnel with the public helps improve the delivery of services to the citizens. We are counting on the residents, community leaders and businesses to lend support to our council so that we will be able to continue to provide programs, courses, presentations to the community, graffiti removals, open houses at the precinct, and events for the community. We welcome your donations to help us. Donations may be sent to the precinct council at PO Box 7506504 Forest Hills, New York 11375.
We also work with the precinct to prepare crime warnings and safety alerts. The council holds monthly meetings in which residents may learn about public safety issues and also have a chance to address their questions to officers in the precinct.
We are listing our courses which are offered for free to our residents. As you may know we just offered the DMV accident prevention course. On March 14th we are now offering the CPR course for friends and family at the precinct from 12 to 2 PM. I urge you to take advantage of this opportunity. Pre-registration is required so call community affairs at 718 520 9321.
Our March meeting is March 17th at 7:30 PM and will be at the precinct. Judge Jeffrey Lebowitz will be our guest speaker discussing family court.
BE CAREFUL! STAY SAFE!
Very truly yours,
Heidi Harrison Chain
