Calls pretending to be from the NYPD- DO NOT GIVE A DONATION
At the precinct council meeting, some members of the audience indicated to me that the NYPD is calling and asking for donations. I also heard that some of the neighbors of people who had been burglarized were getting calls. These are scam artists. DO NOT give a donation because the 112th precinct just did some great police work in your area! The 112th precinct is not seeking donations. Officers from the 112th precinct are not seeking donations. The NYPD does not call and solicit donation. I understand that lots of you and your neighbors are getting such calls. Please help us by getting the word out that this is not the NYPD.
