A number of us have talked about collaborating on the sidewalk repair instead of doing it individually. We could potentially save costs and not duplicate efforts.

Sidewalk Landscaping

Four of the sidewalk blocks I have to replace in front of 618-620 Buchanan are eligible for sidewalk landscaping, so I have researched that option. I'd love to talk to anyone who might be interested in sidewalk landscaping now or in the future. I've posted a PDF of the proposed sidewalk landscaping plan in front of my building, and potentially continued up the block. (See photo above for a mock-up of what that might look like.)

I created a discussion for sidewalk repair. I have to tell you right now, I have nothing to do with the design of this site, and it's not the easiest thing to navigate. I consider this a trial of whether it's worth investing time in keeping it updated. I like the idea in concept (since we are all busy, and this could be an easy way to post information that can be read and referred to at any time). But we'll see if it pans out in practice.
