Tips to Prevent Loss

Here are some of the ways you can guard against accidents, theft and other losses that can afflict a business.

1. Make sure the wiring in your building is in good condition
2. Keep stairways, handrails, carpets and flooring repaired.
3. Train workers to lift heavy items properly and to wear safety masks and gloves when working with hazardous substances.
4. Consider installing a sprinkler system and an alarm that automatically notifies firefighter of a fire.
5. Keep only a small amount of cash in the cash register and deposit the rest in a floor safe that can'tbe opened by employees.
6. Store inventory in two locations so a loss, won't destroy all the inventory.
