Winter Fashion Festival

14 was th magic number for the Winter Fashion Festival, December 14th, involving boutiques on the number 14 bus line.

The event began with the International Art Show at the Cultural Expressions gallery at SE 53rd and Foster Road. The show that included artwork from local Russian, Vietnamese and American artists. The Temple Ballroom at SE 64th and Foster Road hosted an elegant fashion show where Russian models displayed original Valentina Gala designs from "A Place of Beauty Stitch", 6420 SE Foster Road; Lynn Medoffs designs, and the designs of Cindy Zielinski, owner and operator of "Fyberworks" on Hawthorne.

Accessories were provided by the "Russian Gallery" in Portland, The new "Trillium Artisans" shop at SE 91st and Foster and from the "Gold Door", SE 37th just off of Hawthorne. The fashion show was followed by Tango and Swing dance.

The event ended at the "Russian Restaurant" at SE 65th and Foster Road for hors d'oeuvres and vodka tasting.

Congratulations to the Foster Target Area Events Committee who organized an evening to remember. Look for the upcoming Spring event on Foster Road in February.
