Hello, Everyone -
This is the first edition of the Hobart Newsletter. Please let me know if you have any newsworthy information to add to this Newsletter?
We are taking a brief break from our monthly block club meetings held at the Bank of America on 41st & Western. We will resume after the summer in late September when the kids go back to school.
Our meetings are precise, (With Agenda) that last one and half hours. We discuss life quality issues and address concerns that effect our daily lives. You are welcome to attend. I will post the next meeting date soon.
See you then.
My name is Ernie Mixon, President of the Hobart Block Club. We have a long history of community envolement. Our club goes all the way back to the fifties with our past President, the Late Mr. Peal, a legend on our block! Mrs. Peal & Mrs. Hill are long time block club members. Mrs. Peal took on the position of President after the passing of her husband Mr. Peal. I assumed the elected leadership two years ago, and I m pleased to serve our block club.
I m also Area Representative # 3 for the Empowerment Congress Area Neighborhood Development Council. We meet the last Monday of each month. Our next open Board Meeting will be held on August 29th 2005 @ 6:30 p.m at the Amisted Apartment complex on 62nd & Western. Your participation is vital towards improving the quality of our lives in our own community. We welcome your input
