Spring and summer are the busiest times of the year in regard to gardening, home additions and construction projects. If you have a project planned that requires excavation, a phone call can prevent injury and costly repairs.

CITY PUBLIC SERVICE customers are urged to call the statewide number 1 800 545-6005 to request that buried utility lines and equipment be located. CPS personnel will physically mark the mapped location of underground utility equipment for free.

However, the request should be made 48 hours before digging is scheduled to begin.
