ADAMS HILL NEIGHBORHOOD PATROL

HAVE YOU SEEN US ON YOUR STREET?

The AHNP is the eyes and ears of Adams Hill. We watch for obvious acts as well as suspicious activity and report to the SAPD. We also have a liaison to the Adams Hill Neighborhood Association. Additionally, we remind our neighbors of potential security risks, e.g., car doors, trunks, or garage doors left open late in the evening. We have been instrumental in helping SAPD obtain hard evidence in burlary and theft cases.

S.A.F.F.E.

We work with an SAPD/S.A.F.F.E.(San Antonio Fear-Free Environmental) Officer. We are well organized and functional. We use a network of Citizen Band Radios. We also use cellular telephones including one especially programmed and provided by Southwestern Bell for the Cellular On Patrol program. This phone has shortcut keys for notifying various authorities.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Most of the volunteers have their regular jobs(9-5, shift, early-late, etc.) but still manage to spend one or more nights per week patrolling our streets. We need more members who can give at least one night per week to this worthy cause, namely making Adams Hill a place for criminals to avoid altogether.

GETTING STARTED

To join AHNP and become part of the solution to crime, contact one of the officers listed below. They will talk with you and explain how the program works and schedule you for a couple of training rides. Remember Adams Hill is your neighborhood too. Don't let the criminal element take it away from us as they have other neighborhoods. We look forward to hearing from you.
