Art asked about a Neighborhood Watch Program. We were told that we could easily post signs at the front of the neighborhood.
There were questions about the City parks planned. Kate though that there was a 16 acre park going in across Barron Road. We were told to contact Judy Dows at public works for greenway / park information.
The question of the associations power to meddle was addressed with an amendment to our bylaws stating that the block captains should only convey information exactly as voted on by board or association. Strictly prohibitted will be any action that will infringe upon the privacy or rights of another. The amendment was accepted at a vote of 37 for, 0 against, 0 abstentions.
The bylaws were also amended to state that the Vice chair would communicate between the city and the association.
At a vote of 43 for, 0 against, and 0 abstentions, the bylaws were accepted.
We were then asked to vote for the association which was accommodated. The association was accepted at a vote of 44 for, 0 against, 0 abstentions.
