1999 Goals & Priorities

The membership at the Alta Vista General meeting of January set the following Goals and Priorities for
1999 by Committee.

Capitol Improvements
* Mark Twain Drainage problem
* North Flores Reconstruction (Street, curbs and sidewalks)
* Neighborhood Sidewalks and Streets

Communications
* Increase business memberships
* Increase Landlord memberships
* Create a Web Site
* Develop Red Flag Door Hanger
programs for code violators

Crime
* Increase Cellular on Patrol by 12
* Increase Neighborhood Watch blocks by 10
* Perform Two Clean-ups/Paint-outs
* Develop a stronger working relationship with Mark Twain students, parents and staff

Housing
* Continue the pursuit of housing Rehab and restoration
* Increase home ownership

San Pedro Springs Parks
* Create Friends of San Pedro Park through the SA Parks Foundation
* Restore the Bandstand
* Prepare opening ceremony activities

San Pedro Branch Library
* Create a better working relationship with library staff
* Increase use of library
* Continue to look for resources to restore roof of library
