The American Cancer Society is the leading cancer non-profit organization in the world. Our mission is to eliminate cancer as a major threat to our health through research, education and service therefore providing hope, progress and answers. Proudly, we have funded 30 Nobel Prize winners in many areas of cancer research, giving us the hope that one day we will find a cure. The ACS has made progress in the fight against cancer by educating the public about the lifestyles that can contribute to cancer, such as poor eating habits and smoking. Finally, we strive to provide answers to you and your loved ones through our National Call Center as well as many patient support programs.
