Advisory Board update and News

Advisory Board update by Ron
¨ Board is going to meet every other month.
¨ West St. Paul Days parade will be May 19th at noon.

Spring Newsletter
¨ We need to complete the newsletter early this year because Betty & Ron
will be on vacation in April.
¨ We will label the newsletter at our April meeting.
¨ The rough draft should be ready for our March meeting.
¨ Everyone should try to write an article or bring ideas for the
newsletter to the next meeting.
* Ron will write an article about new businesses coming to West St. Paul
and a Parks & Recreation update.
* Marion will write an article urging people to attend the spring
general meeting and who the speakers are.
* Diane will write an article about our web site.
Spring General Meeting
¨ Date for the meeting will be May 2 or 9 ? depending on the
availability of Moreland School and the Mayor. John will have Shelly ask
the Mayor and reserve Moreland School for us.
¨ We would like to have 3 speakers at the Spring General Meeting.
* Mayor
* New coordinator
* Dakota County Attorney ? James Backstrom
¨ We will decide on the refreshments and snacks at the February meeting.
Someone suggested cookies instead of cake this time.

National Night Out
¨ August 1
¨ Charles Rix, Bureau of Crime Investigator, would like to be involved
¨ Send postcards with place, date, and time

Stationary
¨ Betty will order 250 sheets in buff with preprinted envelopes and
bring a receipt to the next meeting. This will be paid for out of our
garage sale account.

Name Badges
¨ Betty will get them from mailboxes etc. and bring a receipt to the
next meeting.
This will be paid for out of our garage sale account.

Garage sale
¨ We will eliminate the city wide garage sale as a fundraiser for our
area.
¨ After we pay for the stationary & name badges, we will distribute the
rest of the money as we had decided last fall. John will look for the
minutes that cover that.

¨ Diane will put our meeting minutes and agenda on the web page.

School Crossings
¨ Who should we talk to about better signs & marked crosswalks?
¨ We will discuss this at a later meeting
