FEES

Posted in: Asheford Crossing
I just want to say this really sucks for a neighborhood to get screwed like we do. The fees here are a freaking joke. We would have never moved here if we known the things we do now. Friends of ours live in Oak Ridge they pay $200 its high but its only $75 more than we pay and they have TWO PLAYGROUNDS a BASKETBALL court and a SWIMMING POOL. What do we have ''RULES'' ooooboy.

Fees, Fees, Fees

I agree, I know friends of mine who actually pay less than we do and at least have a pool(sometimes more). What really bothers me is the fact that the front entrance still looks horrible(especially the left-side as you drive in) no matter how much money I pay. We don't even have a playground!!! I don't understand what bills they could possibly have!!

I wrote the people in charge

I wrote the association, the management company, and Phillips Builders. I never heard back from Phillips. I did hear back from the association and the management company. The management company basically blames Phillips for using bait and switch tactics. Lose money on the fees, sell all the houses, then leave the homeowners to fend for themselves. When we bought our house, we were given the line ''There is an association fee, but it's only $40 a year.'' We figured that was no big deal so we fell for it. Little did I know.

Sounds like the Better Business Bureau needs about 270 complaints.

From what I can tell, the association fee pays for the front sign and the grass cutting around it. That apparently costs over $30k. I'll do it for $15k/year. :)

side note

As a side note, my sister lives in Bradford Hills in Brentwood and pays $60/month. She's lived there like 3 years and it hasn't gone up once.
