SUMMER OF READING 2004
The theme for the Children's program (for kids birth to entering 5th grade) is Camp Read-a-Lot. Athmar Library will be featuring craft programs, a magic show, juggling and clowning on Mondays at 1:30pm in June and July as part of the summer reading program.
The reading program for teens going into grades 6 through 12 is called "Cinema Summer." Teen readers are encouraged to read books that have been made into movies and compare them. Denver Public Library Branches and the Central Library will offer fun, free programs and activities for teens all summer long.
Registration begins on Saturday, June 5 and ends Saturday, July 24. Kids and teens who register can earn prizes for reading books. There will also be contests and drawings at all Denver Public Library locations. For more information, and a complete listing of programs, visit www.summerofreading.org
