Permit & License Appeal Board (PLAB) Hearing

Appealing the denial of a dance hall license.

Panel Chair Ralph Castro and Panel Member Joe Davis voted to overturn the previously denied dance hall license, with total disregard for the Ordinances of the City of Dallas (makes you go "hmmmm").

Castro was appointed by Council Member Maxine Thornton-Reese. Davis was appointed by James Fantroy.

As of the posting date of this notice, these two Panel Members are still serving on the PLAB. If allowed to remain on the PLAB, how many more irresponsible decisions will be made?

Three-member Panels obviously do not work. Perhaps the Council should consider 5-member panels, or even a 15-member panel.
