On October 9th, Code Officer Charles
Forbes, with assistance from Bachman
area residents, did a sweep of Northwest
Highway to remove signs posted too
closely to the highway along the right-
of-way.
Projects like this and the one in
September to remove signs attached to
light posts are extremely vital to the
integrity of our neighborhood. We all
must work together to maintain a clean
environment in order to preserve quality
of life, improve property values and
promote economic growth.
These may sound like ?‘pretty phrases?’,
but Neighbor, you need to read them
again and think about them. Once we
allow these things to become a way of
life, it is extremely difficult and time
consuming to reverse the trend. We all
need to make some calls to 3-1-1.
The same is true for vehicles marked for
sale and parked in public places or on
vacant lots, abandoned / inoperable
vehicles parked on public streets, yard
sales held in public places or on vacant
lots and, of course, graffiti.
