Yes, good neighbors. On February 12, 1990, we met at the home of Dick and Mary Frances Smith and organized ourselves as the Barber Tract Homeowners Association. We elected Joe Marrone as President. Woodie Perkins, Vice President, John Mowry, Treasurer and Gordon Johnson, Secretary. We appointed Dick Smith as Chair of the Land Use Committee, Christina Sear, Chair of the Traffic, Parking and Litter Committee, Bob Bartholomew, Chair, By Laws Committee and Betty Gealy as Chair of the Environmental Committee. These officers were also elected as Trustees.
The following additional Trustees were elected: Carol Whitney, Marilyn Robertson and John Mraz. Marge McNair and Jim Eisen, the two most responsible for organizing the association were also elected
as Trustees.
Your former Publisher, now demoted to Senior Cub Reporter plans a tenth anniversary edition in March, exactly ten years from the first edition, published in March, 1990.
