Dear Mr. Nichols:
RE: Bayview Manor II Agreements #1541 & #1604
Following the field meeting with Colonial School District on December 4, 2006 and our phone conversation on December 5, 2006, DelDOT will not accept the referenced streets until the remaining seven diverter islands are removed, patched and striped.
This is in accordance with the construction agreements as the State may require revisions to the construction plans due to errors or omissions, field conditions or changed circumstances. This is also a reasonable requirement because of the cost savings associated with the decision to delete seven of the fourteen diverter islands and reduce the size of the traffic circles while not requiring a formal plan revision from your engineer prior to construction.
Please provide a schedule to remove, patch and stripe the remaining seven diverter islands. Please contact me at (302) 326-4679 if you wish to discuss further.
Your attention to this matter is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Brian T. Urbanek, P.E.
