We have waged war to stand for something in America_ integrity, national pride, esteem of our countrymen, democracy and individual freedoms. Never before has the challenge to these standards been tested, tried and validated as in this year's election.
The personalized battle between Vice-president Gore and candidate Bush (now President-elect Bush) sounded the trumpet across America that these freedoms and the platform which has made our country great as standards still worthy of fighting for. Although the Democratic and Republican platforms differ, the overall principles determined by the founding fathers of this nation, as a ruling platform for government, have once again been upheld as the presiding basis of governing for each individual American.
Justice has never before been so undermined as it has been with the present Democratic leadership. President Clinton ignored law and decency through his flagrant abuses and distortions of our judicial system. Perhaps a historical first, we experienced continuing government under his leadership despite a Presidential impeachment and loss of confidence in his governing abilities and sense of honor.
It is the hope of this American that the year 2001 will demonstrate principled leadership under the governance of President George Bush and that the American people will rally behind him to insure a perpetuation of the values for which we all should be proud to claim as our own. Our country has been founded on the overiding principle of "In God We Trust". Lets not forget the just, holy, unmoveable God which formed the heavens and the earth. The God of Adam, Abraham, Moses and of all the populace of our nation is Holy. If we truly trust in Him, let us remember Him and honor Him in this great nation.
God bless you all in the wonderful year 2001!
