This is most notably a favorite time of year for children, teenagers, adults, and senior citizens alike! Most everyone has fond memories centered around a Christmas tradition shared with family members and friends.
Like many of you, I enjoy decorating my home for this special holiday. However, as sensible precautions, here are a few home safety tips:
1) Check manufacturer specifications on outdoor lighting and do not overload extension cords.
2) Do not leave your lights on overnight, but put your lights on a timer.
3) Do not leave burning candles unattended or in the reach of small children.
4) Keep cut tree needles fresh by adding water daily, and if possible, lower your average room temperature to 70 degrees. This temperature will encourage poinsettas to remain fresh longer also.
Have a safe and happy Christmas holiday. God bless you all!
