The Bluff Heights Neighborhood Association has been awarded, from the Long Beach Navy Memorial Heritage Trust, a grant in the amount of $ $13,200.00 for street signs which will identify our neighborhood as historic. As you are aware, Bluff Heights became an historic district last year and one of our objectives for this year is to obtain funding for this signage.
You may have noticed other historic street signs in neighborhoods around Bluff Heights such as Bluff Park or Rose Park. A Committee has produced handsome graphics for the Bluff Heights street signs and has worked out the logistics of installing them. As we have only just been notified of receiving the grant it may take a few months before you see the neat, new signs that will call attention to the unique, historic pride of our neighborhood.
Many thanks to the Committee who worked on the signs and the grant: John Thomas, Dale Maul, Catherine Morley and Dennis Snyder.
