In 2004 Chamberlain & McCreery purchased the land adjacent to the Bluffs of Winding Oaks from members of the Guffin family. That land will be developed as Brookemeade subdivision. There will be approximately 75 homes of size similar to the homes found in the Bluffs.

In the summer of 2006 Matthews Brothers purchased Brookemeade from Chamberlain & McCreery. They will be developing the subdivision instead of Chamberlain & McCreery.
