The neighborhood looked very patriotic, as many flew their flags in honor of the 11th anniversary of 9/11.

Maintenance continues on the abandoned home on Ashley Court. Power washing the exterior of the house has been approved. We hope to see this completed in the next two weeks.

Fire and police were called for a smoke and brush fire condition between the Rabbinical College and Deborah Drive. Now that the High Holy Days are over, the town will ask for a meeting with the college to discuss this incident and to go over some other issues with our neighbors.

We had two power outages this month. One due to a bird flying into the wires and one due to JCP&L doing some repair work from a storm. Our email and text alerts worked very well for both of these incidents.

61 out of our 84 homes participate in our homeowners' email distribution. A letter was distributed to the mailboxes of the remaining homes in the neighborhood offering the neighborhoodlink site and an invitation to join email and/or text distribution.

Some of the neighborhood experienced low water pressure or no water at all on Wednesday, September 19, from around 5:30 PM until about 7 PM. This was due to a water main break on Mendham Road/Rt24 near Lewis Morris Park. Once again our email and text alerts worked very well.

Many thanks to all who participated in the Interfaith Pantry Food Drive. Thank you Nicole for organizing. The food will be given to our neighbor Mark Schussel, as part of his effort as a captain collecting food for the pantry.
