BNA Work In Progess

Jan 15, 2006

Several activities of interest are in progress:

1) The street sign at the corner of MacQueen Dr. and Chateau Dr. is need of repair. The Chateau Dr sign fell down the other day.

Dan Nathan has called the city and the sign can be replaced by them, but they will use a galvanized post and the street signs will be Hi-Viz green with white letters.

If we want to keep the sign in the style it is now, we will need to replace it or rebuild it. Dan's recommendation is for BNA to replace it. Estimated cost should be nominal for a 12' 6x6 post, a couple pressure treated 2x6's, a gallon of paint, some brass letters, or reflective aluminum letters and a can of black spray
paint to protect the existing wrought iron brackets.

Dan would be willing to lend his labor to fix it, and would like for a few other members to help.

2) The drainage flumes next to the street on MacQueen next to the Twitty home and the one in front of the Whitley house on Chateau have warped up and now block the flow of water to the storm sewer openings. These need to be replaced. Dan Nathan is going to city hall Monday to make out a work order to get these fixed.

If you know of anything else like this that needs to be reported? Please let Dan know.

3) Three of our neighbors are going in or have gone in for surgery lately or will soon. Perhaps we could send the family's a card offering our sympathy and our hope that they get better soon. It would be nice if we could get the all BNA families to sign the card before we send them. Please touch base with Dan (243-5800) if you would like to participate.

4) The King property directly behind the Farmer property is in desperate need of clearing and mowing.

If you are intestested in volunteering to take
some time in the next couple of weekends to get this done please contact Dennis McCay, Vice-President and Project Committee Lead.

Dan indicated that Mr. Twitty has been mowing a path through the property so some of our
neighbors can walk to the BP without having to go around the Farmer property to get through. This will be added to the agenda for the Projects Committee to use as the first project?

5) Dan Nathan has talked to George Pickle about the Bailey property and George indicated that
they are in the process of cleaning it up and Bailey asked George if they could go ahead and get the flume cleared and get the brush cleaned out down at Barbie's end before the city sees or approves their site plan. George told them 'yes' so, work should be beginning on correcting that problem very soon.

The city has promised to contact us before meeting with Bailey for any work sessions and when the site plan is brought before the Planning & Zoning Board.

If you have any additional information that needs to be included, please contact Valarie McCay 663-6221. Thanks!
