MyComposter! Indy's First Food Waste Composting is up Collecting

MyComposter! Indy's first food waste composting service is up and collecting.

We compost food waste for fertilization of organic vegetable gardens and provide curbside pick up from residences and businesses throughout Central Indiana.

As a country, we throw away $165 billion in food every year. Food wasting in landfills creates methane and carbon dioxide gases, which contributes to climate change.

Chemical fertilizers used on crops are linked to childhood development issues and the run-off leaching into our drinking water is linked to cancer. These fertilizers are also depleting oxygen in our waters, creating massive algae growth that contributes to fish kills. In short, we are what we eat.

San Francisco has reduced 80% of their waste put into landfills by composting. Think what would happen if every home and business in Indianapolis composted their waste! And this is our mission. To beat them Indianapolis must do them one better. We can lead the country by being Green with Indy.
