Congratulations: We'd like to express our congratulations to Jim and Lisa Leonard of 7136 Lakebrook Blvd on the successful addition of triplets to their family! Born on March 31, 2003 were Andrew Michael at 5lb 1 oz, David Benjamin at 5lb 5 oz and Anna Grace at 5 lbs even. They join their sister Megan 4 and Alex 2 to make a fun and full house.

The babies are all doing well at a strapping 7 lbs or better each. Welcome to Brookside Woods little ones and best wishes to the whole Leonard family!

Brookside Woods Women?’s Club: The last meeting of the 2002-03 year for Brookside Woods Women?’s Club will be held at the elegant Brookside Woods Country Club on Tuesday, May 13th, 2003 at 6:30 p.m.
???Cocktails will be followed by a delicious dinner featuring house salad, baked rolls, Chef?’s vegetable selection, and your choice of entr?©e, (1) Basil and Dijon Crusted Chicken Breast in stone ground mustard sauce or (2) Saut?©ed Salmon Filet with Parmesan and chive Spaetzle and sun-dried tomato butter sauce, and finally, for dessert, a delicious praline cup with fresh berries. After dinner, we will enjoy a presentation entitled ?“Dumb Things We Say?” by Mr. Clinton Friedley. Mr. Friedley, a Worthington resident, is an author and part-time educator. He is also a humorist, making grammar fun! We will conclude the evening with a brief Club meeting. The cost for dinner is $27, which includes a beverage (coffee, tea), tax and gratuity. ???

Elections of new Board members for the 2003-04 year will take place at the May 12th meeting. However, it?’s not too late to volunteer if you are interested in serving on the Board or a committee. In particular, we are recruiting volunteers to assist with planning one or two programs next year. Please call Pamela Fair, President at 761-3175 if interested.

Lost & Found: (LOST): One wallet on Saturday April 26 ?“Garage Sale?”. It had some cash and some gift cards. Please call Louis Gresham if you have found at 889-2891.
(Found): One big blue Gymnic ball - 65 cm. Found blowing down the street on a windy day in late fall. If yours, please call 889-2891 to retrieve.

Neighbors Concern: (Advice for Homeowners On Illegally Parked Cars) One often notices cars or other vehicles parked in such a way as to straddle the sidewalk. When notified, as some will doubtless have noted, the Columbus police are quite willing to come and have the offending vehicle removed. But the issue which comes most readily to mind is the danger to which this thoughtless action often subjects children and especially mothers with baby carriages. When mothers pushing babies and children on bikes or tricycles are forced to go around such vehicles they must often go to the street, where they could be hit, especially if there are other vehicles already parked on the street. An insurance agency doing business in the neighborhood states that one could certainly open oneself to a liability suit for allowing this practice. It is also a real inconvenience for the many walkers we have.

Soccer Rocks 2003

Join members of the Columbus Crew and Prudential Residential One Realtors as they host their 5th annual kids soccer clinic. Children train with the pros as they work to enhance their individual and team skills. This years player instructors are,

$20.00 per child ages 6 -14.
Proceeds benefit The Sunshine Kids and Urban Concern
