In Attendance: BCA Board members Lily Witham, Ann Bowling, Gilly Burlingham, Susan Lindsay, Jim Andrews. Also: Steve Hoyt(SEUL) and Lee Perlman (Hollywood Star).
WAMO Update: Susan Lindsay reported that Portland Public Schools has announced their intention to allow developers to bid on the remaining surplus property (including Washington High School) without input from the Advisory committee and people in the neighbourhood. She has contacted key board members about this.
St. Joseph’s- Reporter Lee Perlman gave an update on St. Joseph’s. The ownership is changing and the facility will be remodeled and turned into assisted living units. This remodeling will downsize the building by 135 fewer units. The new facility is to be renamed “Laurelhurst Place”.
Minutes approved- the board reviewed and approved 2 sets of minutes. A motion to approve the board mtg. minutes from 03/03/05 was made by Jim Andrews and seconded by Gilly Burlingham, with a unanimous vote. The minutes for the General meeting on 03/10/05 were approved with an addendum made by Susan Lindsay to add the phrase “because of complaints concerns of the neighbours” to the Roadside Attraction section. Motion to approve was made by Gilly Burlingham and seconded by Jim Andrews.
