Mural Painter (Joe Cotter)
Currently working on mural on musician’s union building on NE 20th
May not have time to take on new projects, including the Buckman mural; will speak with others who may have time

~ 120 units, 1BR, 2BR, 2BR+den (majority are 1 BR to meet price point)
ground floor to be “neighborhood retail” condos
parking in “daylight basement” behind retail



Jones Building @ 122 SE Morrison (Art ?, Venerable Properties)
Developer asking for support for a “conditional use permit for retail”
1920’s warehouse to be renovated to house warehouse, creative space, smaller retail; parking in basement
Cathy Lamb-Mullin made motion to support request for conditional use permit; Gilly Burlingham 2nd; motion carried unanimously

Multnomah County Circuit Judge candidate, Christopher Wright made a brief campaign speech, answered questions.

Break to allow specific questions to Mr. Wright & Officer Edgecomb

Basement Pub requests BCA support in their application for a full liquor license;
Current business hours are 3 pm – 2 am daily
no plans to extend patio hours or change business hours
agreed to revisit GNA with BCA

Lights on Bridges (M’Lou Christ)
Willamette Light Brigade has $ for new brackets, reducing risk for bulb change / maintenance
Changing to LED (colors can change from computer programming rather then physical bulb change)

Development on SE 20th & Morrison (Michael Szporluk, resident)
No design changes
May change paint / trees)
Currently writing letters / doing press releases/ continuing to pressure developer

WAMO (Susan Lindsey)
30% set aside
City Council work session Oct 24, 9:30 – 11:30 (supporters need to fill chamber)
Council vote Nov 19?

Announcements
Small grants available (via Seul) to develop documents supporting land use / neighborhood plans

Lighthouse near 2oth & Madison has potluck (or bring $ donation) brunch every 3rd Sunday

Condo development Belmont @ 38th (technically in Sunnyside neighborhood)

BCA Land use committee meets the 4th Thursday of the month, 6:30 pm in the Central Catholic Faculty room
