September, 2008 BULLETIN Number 2008-7
This past week was difficult on a lot of our residents since there was no power for so long. On a positive side, we acted as a community and helped each other out. Wildwood is a great place to live and it?’s the people that make it so. I?’m proud to live here and know that it?’s a wonderful neighborhood to raise my family. My boys, 18, 20 and 22, have great memories of this neighborhood and I know this neighborhood will give my girls that type of great memories as well.
Where In The Wildwood Contest ?– We have a winner!! Manley Berthold at 9828 Longwood Circle had correct answers for August and September and received a gift certificate for $10.00 to Graeter?’s Ice Cream!! How well do you know our city? Test your powers of observation with our monthly contest at www.cityofwildwood-ky.com and you could be a winner too! This month there is a bonus prize, check it out!!
We would like to welcome Robert Day to our council as City Commissioner. Thanks Robert!!
If anyone is interested in spending an hour a month helping to keep city notes we are very interested in talking to you. Please call me at 425.6009, or speak to any of the commissioners!
We would like to welcome Paula Brunner and her son Chuck to the neighborhood, they moved into 9813 Longwood. Paula works for the Jefferson County Public Schools. Welcome Paula and Chuck!!
The City Dinner will be October 18th at ?“Link Arena?” at 127 Wildwood Lane. The Civic Association will supply meat and drinks and they ask that you bring your favorite appetizer, salad or vegetable. There will be a Dessert contest with awards for the winners! In the next two weeks we will be selling Raffle tickets with a grand prize of $100. See you on the 18th at 6:00 and we look forward to another big turn out!!
Please be considerate of your neighbors. Please don?’t leave Fido in the back yard at night so none of us get any sleep, lack of sleep tends to make people cranky, and cranky people may say things they typically wouldn?’t. Also, if Fido really needs to mark the entire neighborhood when he takes you for a walk, you must clean up after him!
Just a reminder, overnight street parking is against city ordinance! If you are a resident or a guest of a resident you need to park in the driveway! Grass parking is also against city ordinance.
Our next meeting is on October 16th at Starbucks at 6:00. Please feel free to stop by!!
