CFNBA Business Leadership Council
Campaign Neighborhood – CFNBA has authorized the creation and sponsorship of Operation Safety.
WHAT IS IT?
It is an ongoing strategic plan for sharing and accessing information that will help our stakeholders empower themselves. It includes the following:
Creation of CFNBA Neighborhood Greeters Program – foot/bike/car patrol – June, 2005.
Business Signup - Risk Management Survey.
Identify and link-with coordinated safety services of Districts 3rd, 5th, and 7th.
Identify and link coordinated safety services through the City of Milwaukee Web.
Identify and link-with coordinated safety services of the Sheriff Department.
Identify role and link safety services of CDBG Neighborhood Strategic Planning Areas.
(NSP-4, NSP-5, NSP-6, NSP-7, NSP-8, NSP-9, NSP-10, NSP-11, NSP-12 & NSP-13)
Identify and link safety services of neighborhood block watch, association, school, church, etc.
Identify Neighborhood Weblink Resource Centers for access to computer data.
Identify role and responsibility of the Mayor and Common Council for support.
Identify role and responsibility of the Office of Justice for support.
Evaluation - reporting and updating quarterly at the Reality Check Symposiums – a two-day symposium to address government and privately funded programs, plans and projects of the Inner City.
The Reality Check Symposium is sponsored by BI-Coastal Development Consortium, A Think Tank. Dates: Mar 30/31, June 29/30, Sept 28/29, and Dec 28/29.
We know that everyone must participate in order for us to get our arms around the crime and safety issues of the Inner City neighborhoods of which we live, invest, grow families and do businesses.
