HOME MAINTENANCE WORKSHOPS

Do you have the home improvement fever, but not sure how to change that light switch, clean that cooler, fix that leaky faucet or replace that window screen? If so, we have some help to get you started.

The Neighborhood Services Department is partnering with the Maricopa Skill Center to offer a series of workshops designed to give hands-on experience to learn basic home maintenance skills. The workshops consist of classroom instruction and in-class practice sessions. Participants also can take home materials from the class to use their new skills on their own homes.

Most classes are held at the Mancopa Skill Center at 1245 East Buckeye Road. Once a month, the class is offered in other locations throughout the city. The cost for each workshop is $93 for a two-hour session. Some homeowners may qualify for a 50% tuition reimbursement.
