There have been several reports of water damage from leaking plumbing in our neighborhood recently.
The homes in this area are 20 to 25 years old. If you have not inspected your plumbing recently do so now. Most of the original valves and indoor lines are overdue for a change.
If your home still has the original valves and corrugated lines, it is suggested that you replace them with newer valves and the new unbreakable flex lines.
Three local homeowners have had several leaks that have caused considerable damage. One resident has had over $35,000 in damage so far from a broken line that happened while they were on vacation.
Check under your sinks, in the kitchen, bathrooms, plus the laundry room valves and the toilet line. Use a flashlight. If you see corrosion, discoloration or signs of leaking, do yourself and your pocketbook a favor, have them checked or replaced. It can save you thousands of dollars and a big headache. . . ☻
