We?’re seeing way too much graffiti in our area and we need to send a clear message to vandals that our neighborhood will NOT tolerate it. How do we do that? Here are three important ways:
*Make a crime report. If you can provide information leading to the arrest of a graffiti vandal, call 602-262-7327 to file a report. You can make the report without giving your name (and you could qualify to receive a reward of up to $250!).
*Make a store report. You can report stores that sell spray paint to minors. It is illegal to sell spray paint to a person under the age of 18, and retail establishments are required to store paint in areas that are inaccessible to customers. Call 602-262-7844 to report this violation.
*Call the Graffiti Busters Hotline. The main number for the Graffiti Busters Hotline is 602-495-7014, but they?’re overloaded and won?’t get to it as fast as our volunteers at Crossroads. Call them directly at 602-249-8002 or, PREFERABLY, fax them at 602-249-9563, giving the location and type of surface.
