This month I?’ve entered some miscellaneous codes that might be of importance to you.

CURFEW:
Juveniles under the age of 16
10:00 p.m. ?— 5:00 am.
Juveniles 16 and 17 years of age
12:00 a.m. -5 a.m.

There are exceptions for emergencies and employment situations. Keep in mind that a parent or guardian is ultimately responsible for the juvenile and may be charged with a misdemeanor offence if the juvenile violates this code.

STREETS

It shall be unlawful for any person engaged in the construction of any building, or other public or private improvement, to leave any rock, brick, mortar, lumber or any building material of any kind on any street, alley or sidewalk for more than 3 hours after the completion of such improvement.

It shall be unlawful for any person, either willfully and maliciously or carelessly and negligently, to drop, throw, place or scatter upon any street, alley, sidewalk or public place in the city any nails, tacks, broken glass, glass bottles, or any instrument or thing of such nature as to be capable of injuring the feet of horses or the tires of vehicles.

No person shall flow, discharge, or run from any premises, residence, or place of business, upon any street, alley, or public place with the city any water nor shall any person construct or maintain any channel, ditch, flume, or conduit, by means of which water may be discharged into or upon any street, gutterway, sidewalk, alley, or public place, from such premise, residence, or place of business, except by permission of the Water and Wastewater Director.

Fencing:
It shall be unlawful for any person to erect any electrical fence or fence of barbed wire, brush or branches of trees within the city. HOWEVER, fencing may be topped not more than four strands of barbed wire strung on extension barbed-arms, provided that the lowest strand shall be a minimum of 6 feet 2 inches from the surface of the ground.

House numbers:
Property owners within the city must obtain and display the correct residence, business or other building number as assigned to the properties by the Development Services Department and as shown on the map of the Development Services Department. . . ☺
