This past month a young teenager stole something from a neighbor?’s yard. The homeowner saw the person who did this. When the parent was confronted about it, the parent said that the teen was not at home. What is wrong with this picture? We, as adults cannot cover up for our children. It does not help them to become productive adults. By doing this, the parent is in effect telling the child that it is okay to steal.
Who can this child learn from? Would this parent condone someone else?’s child stealing from them? I doubt it. Who really is to blame here?. . .☺
