Library, History Museum Compile Historic Photos for Web Site

More than 300 historical photos from the collections of Phoenix Public Library and the Phoenix Museum of History can be viewed and purchased online.

Visit www.phoenixlibrary.org to access ?“Arizona Images,?” which includes more than 300 photos spanning the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many of the photos are from the library?’s James H. McClintock Collection.

The photos have been grouped into the following categories: homes; plants and animals; public buildings; street scenes; transportation; and water-related. The images are protected by copyright but can be purchased.

The institutions spent a year on the project and will continue to add more images to the site.
