Cactus Park West . . . by Don Gerard
In response to a number of queries, we would like to clear the air on the following issue.
We are a loosely formed, all volunteer organization which we call a Neighborhood Association. We are Not a Home Owners Association.
We began in 1995 from a gathering of neighbors, concerned about the increase in crime and its effect upon our property values.
We support the principles of
Block Watch, the Phoenix
Neighborhood Patrol and
support our local Cactus Park
Precinct Officers in their efforts
to make our neighborhood a safer place in which to live.
We seek to encourage all our neighbors to follow the rules of our society, to be considerate of one another and to respect our cultural differences. And, certainly to be a good neighbor.
We publish the Cactus Park West Neighborhood Newsletter with the intent to inform our neighbors on what is going on in our neighborhood (good or bad), positive news about our young people and other articles that we feel may be of interest.
It is our intent to encourage the acts of neighborliness, tolerance and acceptance of one another?’s differences. We are a diverse community, with neighbors representing many ethnic, social and religious backgrounds. In short, We Are Americans!
With regard to Property Maintenance issues, we support appropriate maintenance and standards, as outlined in the Phoenix Neighborhood Ordinances. While we prefer that disputes be handled between neighbors rationally, we understand that some times they can?’t be resolved in that manner and thus a formal complaint to the Phoenix Neighborhood Preservation Dept., is necessary. But please remember not to allow it to become petty issues. WE ARE NEIGHBORS - AFTER ALL!. . .☺
