We have published several articles with regard to this subject. We have tried to convey the importance of ?‘being alert?’ and ?‘staying cool?’ (at the same time). But, based upon questions that have been asked, ?‘some still don?’t seem to get it?’.
Yes, their presence in our community is a creditable threat to each and every one of us; certainly all women and the children. ?‘They?’ have been convicted of, and have served time for crimes that we have difficulty forgiving. But, as repulsive as they are, ?‘they?’ have rights too. And if we abuse those rights, we are the ones that will spend time in jail.
So, it is incumbent upon us to act responsibly, to protect our neighbors and certainly the children from such a threat. It is (We) that must change our priorities (each and every one of us). We must ?‘watch the children at play?’, ?‘take notice of strangers?’, being more Aware of our surroundings. Stop walking alone after dark. Pick another time or have a friend / neighbor walk with you. When you see someone or something that makes you feel uncomfortable, call Crime Stop @262-6151. This is a new age, a new time and we all must be much more vigilant, more responsible.... . . ☺
