The 4th of July holiday is fast approaching and I have heard the sound of fireworks going off in the Cajon association boundaries.
For everyone's information, San Bernardino Municipal Code 8.60.120 stated:
"no fireworks (including safe and sane) are allowed" in specific areas within the San Bernardino City limits. Those boundaries are everywhere above the 30/215 Freeways.
Offenders are subject to a $1,000 fine and/or one year in jail if you are caught with any type of firework in the boundary limits.
Living so close to the foothills, let's play it safe by not putting anyone's lives or properties in jeopardy of a fire.
If you wish to do fireworks, you need to do them within the acceptable boundary limits (below or south of the 30 Freeway), and they must be used in a driveway, not on the streets or in the parks, within 25 feet of any buildings.
We thank you for adhering to the ordinance.
Remember there are various venues that will have fireworks shows on the 4th, so take advantage of the activities going on within the City.
