Proposed Billboard Defeated

Citing overwhelming opposition from our association and the recent loss of a similar case, Eller Advertising withdrew plans to add a large advertising board to the corner property located at Harford and Joppa Roads behind the Crown Station. Stated President Rupp, "This project, had it gone through, would have trashed the gateway to our community and had no viable reason for it's existance". Of the defeat, "Another prime example of what can be accomplished when collectively, we express our concerns to the County Government".

The plans to withdraw were received by the association on Friday, April 7th. by Carol Demelio of the Office of the Peoples Counsel and was announced at the April meeting of the association.
