Now that I have the distinct honor of performing the monthly inspections for the association, I wanted to take a few moments to point out a couple of areas I have seen that seem to be the most problematic: Dead areas (areas without any grass) or areas full of dollar-weed, lack of edging after the lawn has been cut, especially along the walls of the house, lawns that need more watering and finally, garbage, junk or toys scattered all over the lawn.
In addition to looking for violations, I do have the honor of recommending to the rest of the Board the single house in our neighborhood whose owner has gone the extra mile and deserves recognition with a Yard of the Month sign and gift certificate from Home Depot. You can see a more in-depth article later in this newsletter.
Finally, thanks to all of you who do take the time to keep your property up to standards, this really make my inspection job easy!
