Q: Why can?’t I install a white PVC fence on my property, the new materials last a lifetime and are maintenance free, unlike the currently approved wood fences which require so much maintenance and have to be replaced?
A: While we agree that the white PVC fencing materials are maintenance free and last a lifetime, current ARC design guidelines require natural wood fences, with the smooth sides facing out, to be installed in our neighborhood. Now that we have an independent Architectural Control Committee we will let them determine if enough of you would like to see a change in this design criteria for our neighborhood. E-mail your comments to: carolinecove@netscape.net and we will forward them to the new ARC for action.
Q: My neighbor has been parking Jet Skis behind his fence. He even runs them on weekends making a tremendous amount of noise, is this authorized?
No it is not and the homeowner has been sent a letter reminding him that according the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions Jet Skis (or for that fact, trailers, RVs, or other motorized or non-motorized vehicles) must be stored in his garage or at an off-site location. They are not allowed to be parked, even behind a fence, in this neighborhood as a result of the covenant amendment you approved 2 years ago. If you notice he is still violating this, please let us know and we will take further actions.
