Lawn Inspections in Full Swing….by Bill Thompson

Sep 20, 2004

Now that we?’re into the dog days of summer and the height of the Chinch bug season, if you suddenly see a brown patch appear, it?’s probably not from the lack of moisture but lawn pests.
Please do yourself a favor and call a lawn professional. If you ignore the problem you will only end up re-sodding your lawn, something I have not had to do since I have had a lawn company treating my lawn for the past 8 years.
Additionally, everyone needs to know that colored rubber mulches are not authorized. Mulch must be natural in color and be either stone (like lava-rock), pine bark or a natural mulch. The colored rubber substances do not fit in with the architectural standards and will result in a letter from the association to have it removed at your cost.
Finally, fences cannot be anything other than natural wood. No white PVC or painted fences are allowed.
