Stater Brothers Shopping Center

I have recently emailed our City Council member Sal Tinajero on the issue of getting the Stater Brothers Shopping Center Renovated (on Edinger/Fairview). I feel that this shopping center (especially the stores on the east side of the shopping center) are in desperate need of a face lift, and I find it unfair that shopping centers near the South Coast area have all been recently renovated but our area gets neglected. When was the last time you remember that this shopping center was renovated? The only store which isn't really a store but a fast food restaurant that has been renovated, was Taco Bell, and it was only renovated because it burned down. Another issue with this shopping center is that it is filled with homeless and drunks which are in plain sight of school children that are walking to school through the shopping center. As of now I have only received an email response from Sal Tinajero's representative letting me know that my email would get forwarded to the City's Planning Division which I haven't heard from yet.
