RE: Former Prestonwood Mall – Plan for Development Hearing at City Planning Commission on Thursday, August 9, l:30PM
Archon Group has informed us that it has withdrawn its application for 750 apartments on the 16 acres on Prestonwood Blvd and is requesting Townhouse development at no more than 15 units per acre on that site. The attached townhouses would be on individually platted lots so that they could be sold separately.
We feel this is a reasonable accommodation. Informal polling of our membership shows wide support for this revised application.
Also, for your information, the entire property will have Regional Retail zoning. However, the owner has agreed to prohibit sexually oriented businesses and pawn shops (both allowed in RR) from the entire property.
