Neighborhood Workday Scheduled for June 30th

Everyone bring their rakes, weedeaters(gas or battery operated), hoes, shears and meet at 7946 W. Tuckey Lane on June 30th at 6:30 AM. If you have a particular area near your home that needs to be cleaned up we can work on that. We will be working on Tuckey Lane between 79th and 83rd Avenues to clean the areas between the brick walls and the sidewalks. These areas are public access areas and a lot of the time no one takes care of them. Bring plenty of water. We will work for a couple of hours before the sun gets too hot.

Everyone be sure to sign the work attendance sheet with the time you started and the time you fininsh. This sheet needs to be turned into the Neighborhood Partnership office showing them that we are putting in sweat equity to keep our neighborhood clean and presentable.

The grant will go before the Mayor and her council on the 27th for approval. If they give that approval we should see the entrance monument at 83rd and Tuckey installed and the streetscape between Ocotillo and Maryland updated along the east side of 83rd before the end of summer.
