Reading of the minutes: The Chair noted the minutes of the previous March 19, 2007 regular meeting had been previously distributed via email to the trustees and advised, that if there were no objections, the minutes could be approved as distributed. Thereafter, Trustee Briggs moved the minutes be approved as previously distributed. The motion was duly seconded and passed without dissent.
Correspondence: Correspondence was read from resident Gary Peterman asking the Trustees to oppose the proposed rezoning of a portion of the Spring Creek subdivision to include unwanted commercial development at the corner of Refugee and Milnor roads. President Comanita noted there had be a swell of community resistance to the proposed rezoning request including residents from Chevington Woods.
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer Murphy presented his report and entertained questions from the Trustees assembled. He reported a cash balance on hand of $11,937.
Reports of Committees: None
Unfinished business: None
New Business:
Bridge at North Reserve: Trustee Snell reported on the erosion problem at the bridge that crosses from the main area of the North Reserve across the small creek to the much smaller N. Reserve area to the west. He noted that he had met with new resident Troy Shepherd (former Jacobs lot) and measurements along the lot line clearly established the bridge was on CWCA property. Trustee Snell estimated the materials needed to secure a foundation for the bridge would run from $50 to $100 and labor, as usual, would be donated.
Trustee Mark Briggs stated that he would donate both the labor and the material required to repair the bridge. Trustee Mahan and Trustee Snell both stated they would help with the project. President Comanita thanked the Trustees for volunteering to make the repairs and especially Trustee Briggs for donating the materials required.
Vandalism on Chevington Chase: Trustee Hartley reported that a partially developed cul-de-sac in Winding Creek, which is only accessible via the intersection of Sheffield Drive and Chevington Chase, has become a meeting place for teenagers who consider it a hide-a-way for consuming alcohol and other activity prohibited in public. She noted the trash thrown into yards bordering Chevington Chase near the entrance to Winding Creek is evidence as to the activities occurring in this isolated area of Winding Creek. She also advised the Fairfield County Sheriff had been contacted but she felt the CWCA should become involved to leverage the need for immediate attention to this problem.
Following discussion among the Trustees assembled it was the consensus of opinion that Secretary Snell send an email to Sheriff Phalen requesting assistance to eliminate the problem. [Email to Sheriff Phalen was sent June 23, 2007 with copy to the Trustees.]
Resident Participation: The Chair invited any resident in attendance to
address the meeting. After again calling for resident participation and hearing
none, the Chair noted there was no other business to come before the Trustees and
stated she would entertain a motion to adjourn.
Adjournment: Trustee Briggs made a motion to adjourn. The motion was duly
seconded and passed without dissent. The meeting was adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,

Will Snell, Secretary
