Treasurer’s Report:
Treasurer Briggs presented the Treasurer’s report and entertained questions from the Trustees and residents assembled. A written copy of the report is made a part of these minutes by reference. Treasurer Briggs noted the 2006 dues invoices would be prepared and mailed shortly.
Committee Reports:
Yard of the Month Committee: Chairman Julie Squire reported due to the inclement weather the Yard of the Month selections would begin in the month of May this year.
Unfinished Business:
CWRC insurance payment for 2003 - Secretary Snell presented a report gleaned from CWCA records in his possession. He noted that insurance records showing the CWCA payments to the Chevington Woods Recreation Club (Pool) were scarce. The report showing year, payment, coverage and etc. is made a part of these minutes by reference. Following a lengthy discussion on the issue, Secretary Snell moved the CWCA reimburse the CWRC in the amount of $500 for CWCA insurance coverage for the year 2003. The motion was duly seconded and passed without dissent.
New Business:
Mowing North Reserve: Secretary Snell reported that Jay Garrett of J. G. Garrett LLC had stopped by his residence and presented a contract proposal for the mowing season of 2006. It was explained that the proposal was for $60 per mowing, as needed, or $70 per mowing which would include tree limb removal from the reserve (limited to smaller limbs that had fallen into the mowing area) and spot treatment of the mulch/flower bed in front of the cemetery.
The Secretary explained, that based upon his conversation with Mr. Garrett, that the mowing company did not want to be responsible for a major clean up like the one that confronted the CWCA after the December 2004 ice storm. It was the consensus of opinion among the Trustees that Mr. Garrett had delivered good service at a reasonable price in the past and the cost of gasoline alone over the past two years justified an increase in his rates. It was also noted that the removal of broken branches on a regular basis, as opposed to the annual clean up day, would keep the North Reserve a safer and more pleasant area for all of the residents of Chevington Woods.
Trustee Squier moved that the Secretary be authorized, in behalf of the CWCA, to enter into a contract with Jay Garrett to pay $70 per mowing as needed.

The motion noted service would also include clean up of broken limbs in the mowing area along with spot clean up in the flowerbed in front of the cemetery. The motion was duly seconded and passed without dissent.
President Comanita then reminded the Trustees assembled of the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt the Saturday before Easter and the annual Yard Sale normally held the weekend after Mothers Day in May. It was agreed the Trustees would cooperate in the arrangements required for these events and communicate via email as necessary.
The Chair then called for any other business to come before the Trustees assembled. Hearing none, the Chair recognized a motion from Trustee Briggs to adjourn. The motion was duly seconded and passed without dissent. Meeting adjourned at 8:24 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
