Our Community Safety.
I am required via state licensure and national certification as an Architect to protect the health, safety, and public welfare of the public. This requirement is also the root of the responsibility of the Board of Directors. My primary goal of our Community Safety is a cornerstone of my candidacy. This includes
my training and understanding of design principles, the Texas Accessibility Standards, building/zoning regulations, and traffic issues. The abilities/experiences I have acquired as a design professional include working with developers, builders, and clients on projects with budgets that total well over a billion dollars.
Quality of our Environment.
I will work to revive/restore the pool and ensure that our resident interests come first. Since we will be responsible to pay all future upkeep of our new additional pool center, I will make sure it is built for residents. I will work to revive the original landscape quality as established in the concept of the neighborhood, develop more hiking and cycling trails (link the existing ones) and enhance the overall quality of life for those in our neighborhood.
Board Accountability.
Board Accountability comes from my understanding that you, my neighbors, are my clients whom
I will serve at this position. This goal requires that I gather the concerns of our residents and act on the behalf of the best interest of the whole community. I will develop a system of accessibility to the Board so the residents will have a voice. My vision for our community is one where all our neighbors have confidence in the Board and "pride of place" where we live. I support expanding the current number of board members to 5 or 7 and having monthly meetings open to all residents.
I will oversee the operational aspects of the community, and monitor/address the financial, regulatory, and environmental factors which may compromise our community.
I've made myself available for the next many days. Please check the community calendar here on Circlec.CC to see where I'll be. Come on by in person to ask me any questions, I look forward to meeting you then.
Sincerely,
Carl Kernodle
